Mathura Event

On 21 December 2025, the project Fight Against Cervical Cancer: Awareness to Eradication (सर्वाइकल कैंसर के विरुद्ध अभियान: जागरण से निवारण तक), conceived by the Spring Hope Cancer Foundation, New Delhi, was formally launched in Mathura District, Uttar Pradesh, in collaboration with Kalyanam Karoti, a renowned NGO in the state.
The inauguration took place at the Kalyanam Karoti Eye Institute, Mathura, with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by distinguished dignitaries:

During the event, speakers addressed Asha Workers, Sanginis, and Anganwadi Workers, highlighting key aspects of cervical cancer, including its prevention through vaccination, the importance of personal hygiene, the need for timely and routine check-ups, and available treatment options. The audience was also guided on effective ways to engage with rural communities to spread awareness.
A mobile application was launched to facilitate volunteer registration and enable the reporting of suspected cervical cancer cases from the community, ensuring timely diagnosis and medical assistance.
This initiative is widely regarded as a significant milestone in the journey towards the eradication of cervical cancer-one of the major global health goals set by the World Health Organization (WHO).
