INTRODUCTION
On 22nd March 2026, Spring Hope Cancer Foundation, New Delhi, in collaboration with Udayan Care and Bridging Journeys, organized an Awareness Campaign Against Cervical Cancer at the Udayan Group Foster Care Home, Delhi. The campaign brought together adolescent girls, women from the surrounding communities, caregivers, experts, and development professionals to address one of the most urgent health challenges facing women in India.
Cervical cancer continues to be a leading cause of cancer-related deaths among women, despite being preventable through vaccination, regular screening, and early treatment. Unfortunately, stigma, lack of awareness, and limited access to preventive services still put many women and adolescent girls at risk. This campaign was designed to bridge the knowledge gap, break myths, and empower participants with the confidence to seek timely medical care, while also encouraging open dialogue and peer support within the community.
OBJECTIVES
DISTINGUISHED GUEST

KEY OUTCOMES
IMPACT
The campaign empowered 31 women and adolescent girls, each representing their families, making the reach far wider than the immediate participants. These women and girls left not only with knowledge and confidence but also with a strong motivation to share what they had learned with their extended families and neighbors. This ripple effect transformed the campaign into a community-driven movement, where conversations about cervical health began to enter homes and neighborhoods that had previously remained silent. By breaking stigma and encouraging dialogue, the initiative laid the foundation for healthier communities, stronger peer support, and generational change. The campaign’s true impact lies in this multiplication of awareness, thus turning informed individuals into advocates, who carry the message forward, ensuring that prevention and early detection become part of everyday life.
